An assortment of 2D animations that I made in order to study the principles and applications of animation.

Horse Calligraphy (Rotoscope)

For this animation we used Eadweard Muybridge's studies in horse animation as a basis for our rotoscope. For the theme I chose to base my animation on Chinese calligraphy, especially since much of my family is involved in traditional calligraphy. I animated and looped 12 frames using Photoshop and After Effects.

Bubble Girl Transformation (Inbetweening)

For this animation we were tasked with designing a character and making it transform into a face another classmate designed (in this case the other face was designed by Katherine Cao). I animated this using Flash.
